TRATAMIENTO 4

Apollo Endosurgery’s Over Stitch is a new endoscopic technique through which sutures can be made in the wall of the stomach to reduce its capacity.

Like all treatments for preventing obesity, the purpose of reducing the stomach’s capacity is increase the sensation of satiation in the patient so that he/she ingests a small quantity of food.
As occurs with the POSE method, this procedure enables rapid recovery as it eliminates many problems that exist in traditional surgery.

The procedure is done under a general anaesthetic in the operating theatre. The patient recovers rapidly and the hospitalisation period is short.  After treatment, the patient should follow a diet for two days after the procedure.

This technique is intended to treat patients with obesity and severe obesity and its purpose is similar to that of sleeve gastrectomy; however it is performed using a non-invasive oral endoscopic procedure.
